Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty
Blepharoplasty is a plastic surgery procedure designed to improve the appearance and function of the upper and/or lower eyelids. During the procedure, excess skin, fat, and, when necessary, muscle tissue are removed or repositioned to create a more youthful, refreshed, and natural appearance around the eyes.
Blepharoplasty may be performed for both cosmetic and functional purposes. It is commonly recommended to correct drooping upper eyelids, under-eye bags, excess skin, and age-related changes. In some cases, the procedure also improves vision by removing excess upper eyelid skin that obstructs the visual field.

How Is the Procedure Performed?
Blepharoplasty is performed under local or general anesthesia, depending on the patient's individual needs and the extent of the procedure. Incisions are carefully placed within the natural eyelid creases, making scars barely noticeable once healed.
Recovery
Mild swelling and bruising are common during the first few days after surgery. Most patients return to their normal daily activities within 7–14 days, while the final results continue to improve over the following months.
