Abdominoplasty

Abdominoplasty
Abdominoplasty, commonly known as a tummy tuck, is a plastic surgery procedure designed to remove excess skin and fat from the abdomen, tighten the abdominal wall, and improve overall body contour.
The procedure is particularly beneficial after pregnancy, significant weight loss, or age-related changes that result in loose abdominal skin and weakened or separated abdominal muscles (diastasis recti).

Excess skin in the abdominal area

-
Improvement of abdominal shape and overall body proportions

-
Natural-looking, long-lasting results
-

How Is the Procedure Performed?
Abdominoplasty is performed under general anesthesia. During the procedure, the surgeon removes excess skin and fat, repairs and tightens the abdominal muscles when necessary, and reshapes the abdominal contour. The incision is typically placed low on the abdomen, allowing the scar to be concealed beneath underwear or swimwear.
Recovery
Temporary swelling and discomfort are expected during the recovery period. Most patients return to their normal daily activities within 2–4 weeks, while the final results continue to improve over the following months. Wearing a compression garment and following your surgeon's postoperative instructions are essential for optimal healing and long-term results.
