Advices after pregnancy
11 Months
Development at 11 Months
Your baby's first birthday is just one month away! This is a wonderful time to start planning how you would like to celebrate this special milestone.
Physical Development
- Stands independently.
- Walks while holding one of an adult's hands.
- May take their first independent steps.
- Bends down to pick up objects without squatting.
Cognitive and Social Development
- Understands the purpose of familiar objects.
- Uses their own words or sounds to refer to many everyday household items.
- Points to desired objects or gestures to communicate their needs.
- Responds actively to unfamiliar people and new environments.
- Tries to bring a spoon to their mouth independently.
You can also try a simple observation. Place your baby's favorite toy in front of them and notice which hand they reach with first. At this age, hand preference may begin to emerge, although a clear dominant hand often develops later in childhood.
