3 Months
One of the greatest milestones for parents during this month is the establishment of a daily routine. By this stage, most babies begin to develop more regular sleep and feeding patterns.
At this age, your baby also starts to show the first signs of their unique personality. They are able to express discomfort or dissatisfaction through different types of crying and vocalizations.
Physical Development
By this age, your baby may be able to:
- Hold their head steady while lying on their tummy and when held upright.
- Watch and suck on their hands.
- Roll from their back onto their side.
- Reach for a toy, grasp it, and bring it to their mouth.
Social and Emotional Development
Your baby may:
- Make and maintain eye contact.
- Smile and laugh.
- Coo for longer periods, with increasingly varied sounds.
- Recognize familiar people.
- Focus well on stationary objects.
